"Subdomain" website solution as discussed here specifically applies ONLY to "Office Solution" deployments where this feature has been enabled in your account.
If you are having problems trying to get your subdomain website to appear properly, follow the troubleshooting steps below.
- Login to your Leads and Contacts account, click on the View Profile link in the top right menu. If your account is configured to have a subdomain website then you should see a Website link to the right of the Change Password link. If you don't see this link then you should contact your Managing Broker who should be able to configure your account properly.
- When you click on the Website link, you will be able to set what the subdomain should be for your website.e.g. charliesmith.YourCompany.com. Only letters, numbers, dashes and underscores are accepted in this field. Do not enter a complete web address here!
- If you have a domain name registered with Godaddy, Network Solutions etc. and want that connected to your subdomain website then you need to setup domain forwarding with your domain registrar.e.g. http://www.charliesmithrealty.com --> http://charliesmith.YourCompany.comMake sure that the subdomain that your forwarding to matches what is set in your Leads and Contacts account.You should not need to mess with DNS entries or A records for your domain.
